I like the natural look of the wood and bees wax coating. I really like the wood joinery of the boxes. Unfortunately the frames don’t fit well with 9 frame spacers. I wish they weren’t tapered, then they would fit better.

I am very happy with my beehive. Excellent quality of wood, waxing on boxes and foundations was liberal, dovetail seams were very tight and fit together nicely. All materials ordered arrived in good shape and on time. Extra nails and screws were included. My only complaint is that everything was packed in one box and delivered to our front porch. It was WAY too heavy for us to move. We had to redistribute everything into 3 different boxes to lift them. Otherwise, this hive is my favorite of all the several different bands I have tried.
