Best bottom board I’ve ever had! Great for winterizing!

Brian T.

Very good quality

Jeff D.

I like the design makes checking hive much easier and ability to add insulation and moisture pads is great

Carl D.

Same high quality as the hive! Perfect fit with smooth action.

Sinead M.

These are great. They have a strong tray that completely closes off the screened section and don't sag. Well constructed and the cedar smells amazing.

Brice R.

The product arrived when it was supposed to, and I wasn't disappointed with the screened bottom boards I ordered. They are sturdy and exactly what I wanted for my hives.

JANETTE V.

The screen bottoms seemed really high quality and the hives are obviously cooler now.

Wesley O.

Fill the pan underneath the screen bottom with about 1/8" miineral oil and it works great for capturing small hive beetles.

Jennifer C.

Thanks, it's just what I need and works great

Dylan R.

Very nice hive! Thank you!

Damon M.

Fit the need for my hive.

Dean A.

I love my new vented (wire) bottom boards. My bees no longer come our in the evening on hot days as they use to. On days like we are having now in SW Va. (upper 70s in the day, low 50s at night), all I do is slide the metal bottom out exposing the wire bottom and let the hive vent during the daylight hrs and slide it back in before dark. Love it!

Douglas T.

Great service & hives!

John W.

Excellent screen bottom board for my beehive — very well made and great quality. Everything I’ve bought from maybeehives.com has been top notch and exactly what I was hoping for. Fast shipping, solid craftsmanship, and products you can trust. Thank you for always providing such high-quality beekeeping equipment!

Ken P.

Arrived with ends of box damaged. The ends of the bottom board were damaged, but not broken. The wood appears to have been compressed making the shape off and wax coating looks white from being compacted.

Kellie T.

Works great love that the bottom drawer is so easy in and out to check

Alpin T.

We’ll build Cider wood and very well wax Really like it so much

Douglas T.

John P.

Great product, quality

Clifford B.

Arrived fast! Quality products, only thing one of the pans had corrosion or rust to it

Justin D.

This is working great with diatomaceous earth to capture and kill small hive beetles. I think I also saw a dead wax moth in it! In the heat of summer it will also be nice to remove the trey and just let the bees ventilate better.

Andrew R.

Love these bottom boards. High quality, cedar dipped in beeswax and the bees love pushing the SHBs into the mineral oil and nothing beats the satisfaction of watch those little bast*rds drown. Optimal design allows you to check, change out and refill as needed without bothering the ladies. Solid bottom keeps it closed and let's them thermoregulate perfectly... Everyone that has seen them are just as impressed as I am.

I've ordered 8 of these. I have bought them from at least 3 other manufacturers, and I have to paint them or do some modifications. The only thing I do with yours is add a sash pull to the tray to make it easier to remove. I'll be getting more.

Well made

John S.

Has a heavier screen than others. Better to keep out critters, probably easier for bees to walk on.

Raymon

One of the Best bottom board you can buy

jonesin

Well made, easy assembly, comes with extra nails and screws.

Henry L.

I prefer screened bottom boards. The ability to pull the tray and gain insight as to what is going on the hive without a deep inspection is a great time saver. I have sourced these from other suppliers, and I like yours. No need to make any modifications (other than adding a handle to the tray to make it easier to remove).

Paul B.

Very well built oil tray slides in easily, will be placing on hives next inspection can't wait to kill mites.
